OCAABA Mentorship Program

Each school year, OCAABA’s Pipeline Committee offers a formal Mentorship Program for OCAABA’s law student members. Student participants accepted into the Program will be matched up with an experienced OCAABA attorney or judicial member who will provide them with general guidance on the legal profession, including tips on developing lawyering skills and choosing a career. The Pipeline Committee will assist in helping mentors and mentees get to know each other better by providing both formal opportunities for mentors and mentees to socialize and network, as well as informal suggestions for engaging in meaningful dialogues and discussions.

In order to participate in the Mentorship Program, mentors and mentees must (1) be current OCAABA members during the 2016 and 2017 calendar years and (2) commit to attending at least one Mentorship Program event during the program year, and meet at least once per academic semester to further develop the mentoring relationship.

The application period is closed for the 2015-2016 Mentorship Program. Watch this space for more details to come in August 2016 for the 2016-2017 program.

If you have any questions about the Mentorship Program, please contact John Fujii jfujii@surfcity-hb.org or Tu-Quyen Pham tpham@crowell.com, Co-Chairs of the Pipeline Committee.
