State of Alaska, Department of Law Seeks Attorney to Join Oil and Gas Section

The State of Alaska, Department of Law is recruiting for an attorney to join the Oil and Gas Section. The Oil and Gas Section attorneys represent state client agencies to ensure that the State's vast oil, gas, and geothermal resources are responsibly managed and revenues from royalties and taxes received. Applicants with three years or more of experience in the oil and gas industry or energy sector or state tax litigation are strongly preferred. Experience in bankruptcy is also highly desired. The position can be in Juneau or Anchorage. Attorneys in the Juneau and Anchorage offices enjoy stunning views of mountains and oceans. If you enjoy dramatic scenery, outdoor activities like skiing, hiking, kayaking, and abundant wildlife, then Alaska is the place for you. Additionally, the State of Alaska is a qualifying employer for student loan forgiveness through the Public Loan Forgiveness Program.  The position is open until filled.
