Calling all recent law student graduates who want to begin their career in a service-first, community-minded environment!
Asian Americans Advancing justice-SoCal (AJSOCAL) announces a new opportunity—the Mark Yoshida Public Interest Fellowship.
Named for our legacy advocate who served at AJSOCAL for nearly 30 years, the Mark Yoshida Fellowship is a two-year experience in immigration law. The selected Fellow will work at AJSOCAL under the guidance of Immigration Project leadership on cases and key projects that positively impact AAPI immigrants and the wider community.
The Fellowship is open to individuals who have graduated from an American Bar Association accredited law school before September 2026 with a J.D. The Fellowship will begin in September 2026, and the Fellow must take the July 2026 California bar exam. Those with prior demonstrated experience and/or interest in immigration law, along with ties to the Asian American and Pacific Islander community, are strongly encouraged to apply.
Applications are accepted now through August 15, 2025.
