TurnSignl, headquartered in Minneapolis, MN, is a Black-owned technology company providing real-time access to legal guidance through the TurnSignl app. TurnSignl connects users with licensed attorneys via live video during traffic stops, car accidents, and immigration-related emergencies.

Founded in response to the tragic events in Minneapolis, TurnSignl's mission is to provide peace of mind in critical moments, expand equitable access to legal guidance, and help create safer interactions and stronger communities nationwide.

TurnSignl is expanding its nationwide attorney network and seeking licensed Criminal Defense, Personal Injury, and Immigration attorneys who are interested in providing real-time legal guidance to TurnSignl users.

This is a flexible 1099 opportunity designed to complement your existing practice. There are no required shifts, billable-hour requirements, or minimum scheduled hours. Attorneys control their availability within the TurnSignl app and can participate when it works for their schedule.

When available, attorneys may receive inbound video calls from TurnSignl users experiencing situations such as traffic stops, car accidents, or immigration-related emergencies. Most calls are brief and focused on helping the user understand their rights, navigate the immediate situation, and determine appropriate next steps.

This opportunity may be a strong fit for attorneys who want to use their legal experience to make an immediate impact while maintaining flexibility and independence in their existing practice.

Responsibilities

• Respond to real-time video calls from TurnSignl users when you choose to be available.
• Provide legal guidance within your licensed jurisdiction and area of practice.
• Help users understand their rights and navigate stressful, time-sensitive situations.
• Deliver clear, compassionate, and professional guidance during each interaction.
• Complete required TurnSignl onboarding, technology checks, and periodic training or recertification.
• Represent TurnSignl professionally within your legal community.
• Participate in optional TurnSignl attorney network initiatives, events, or engagement opportunities.

Qualifications

• Active license and good standing with the applicable State Bar. 
• 1+ years of experience in Criminal Defense, Personal Injury, and/or Immigration law. 
• Active malpractice insurance or willingness to obtain coverage before completing onboarding. 
• Strong verbal communication and client service skills. 
• Ability to communicate calmly and effectively during time-sensitive situations. 
• Comfortable using technology and providing guidance through live video. 
• Commitment to professional, compassionate, and high-quality legal guidance. 
• Multiple state licenses are a plus but are not required
