    Manning Kass is a national civil litigation defense firm that stands out from the rest—every case and client matters.      As an attorney on the Complex Team, you will work alongside seasoned litigators and industry-leading partners, engaging in every stage of litigation—from strategy development and discovery to mediation, arbitration, and trial.      Responsibilities:

    • Comfortable managing all aspects of discovery, including drafting and responding to written discovery, attending court hearings, and taking and defending depositions.
    • Possesses strong analytical skills and the ability to manage a high-volume caseload in a fast-paced environment.
    • Self-motivated, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
    • Proactively communicates with clients and provides updates throughout the course of litigation.

    Qualifications:  A Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree is from an accredited law school, an active California Bar membership in good standing, and at least two years of civil litigation experience preferred.

    Locations (California): Los Angeles, Costa Mesa, San Francisco, and San Diego.

    Annual salary range with benefits: $125,000 - $185,000, plus bonus.

    Under general supervision, the Judicial Assistant to a Supreme Court Justice provides complex, confidential support including project management, policy analysis, paralegal and legal secretarial work, outreach, and administrative duties.

    Responsibilities include coordinating weekly conferences and case materials, preparing benchbooks and memoranda, editing and proofreading court documents, verifying legal citations, managing the justice’s calendar and communications, serving as a liaison to internal and external stakeholders, coordinating events and travel, supporting clerkship recruitment, ensuring compliance with judicial ethics requirements, and maintaining records and chambers resources.

    Qualifications: Six (6) years of legal secretarial experience, including at least five (5) years of technical legal research; or a bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of legal secretarial experience, including technical legal research.

    This position will remain open until filled.

    Location: San Francisco, CA.

    Salary range with benefits: $7,365 - $8,954 per month.
